Please join your fellow alumni on Saturday, October 20 as we volunteer at the

Annual Camp Sunshine Pumpkin Festival, held this year on City Hall Plaza!

The GBSUAC team will be volunteering from 3 pm to 9 pm, helping festival goers carve their pumpkins.  The festival always ends with the ceremonial lighting of every single pumpkin carved, washing all of City Hall Plaza in a beautiful orange glow (how appropriate!).

Last year, the Boston Pumpkin Festival broke the Guinness World Record for most amounts of jack-o-lanterns lit at once!  The record-breaking number?  30,128!!!

Camp Sunshine also raised over $280,000 for their organization, which is dedicated to providing a year-round program in the great outdoors for children with life-threatening illnesses and their immediate families, all free of charge.  The Camp’s mission is to bring joy and hope to these brave people, throughout different stages of the illnesses.

This year, Camp Sunshine is hoping to break last year’s lit pumpkin record and raise enough money to continue to keep their camp free.

RSVP Today!

We have space for only 20 volunteers, so the first 20 that respond to Rosemary (team Captain) at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it will be part of the GBSUAC team.  However, even if you do not volunteer with us, you can still do your part by bringing friends and family to the festival and enjoying all of the events!  Various activities will be taking place all day long, including live music, great food, children’s activities and more!
