Like Basketball? Love Boston? Help us welcome the 2006 Women's Final Four participants and visitors to our city! The 2006 NCAA Women's Final Four is coming to Boston in April. In addition to the Semifinal games on Sunday, April 2, and National Championship game on Tuesday, April 4, tournament week will be filled with events and activities celebrating women's basketball, the 25th anniversary of the Women's Final Four, and the centennial of the NCAA. The Boston Local Organizing Committee for the Women's Final Four (BLOC) is looking for volunteers for all of the events surrounding the games. Volunteers need to be 18 years old as of April, and need to commit to at least 12 hours of service (generally over three (3) four hour-shifts). For their participation, they will receive special apparel, including a Reebok pull-over windbreaker, polo shirt, and cap, and a 14-Day MBTA Pass to be used during tournament period. Volunteer Ambassadors are needed in a variety of positions:
Ambassadors will have up-close involvement in the activities and festivities surrounding the Final Four, the 25th anniversary of the Women's Final Four, and the Centennial of the NCAA.
