The New Hampshire and Maine chapter of the GBSUAC announces the fall event in southern NH at the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester. 

We have arranged a private tour to the Zimmerman House designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright, http://www.currier.org/browse/?gallery=zimmermann , and the only New England-based project by the architect.  Then, we will tour the art museum, and have lunch in the café on premises.  We have room for only 15 on the private house tour, and room for 12 in the van, so respond right away. There is plenty of overflow room in the museum and afterward in the café.

When:  Sunday, October 16^th, 2005.    The RSVP deadline is September 30th.

Time:  Meet in The Currier Museum of Art lobby at 9:45 AM.  We have a 10:00 AM van ride to the Zimmerman House for a one hour guided tour, so please be on time.  If you’re meeting the group after the house tour, we should be back to the museum about 11:30.

Directions to the Currier Museum of Art
I-293, take Exit 6-Amoskeag Bridge, bearing right to cross bridge, following signs for US Route 3 and Business District to Elm Street. At traffic light, cross Elm and go 0.4 miles to Beech St. Turn right onto Beech, the Currier will be 1/2 mile on the left.

From I-93, take Exit 8-Wellington Road/Bridge Street. Bear right onto Bridge Street and go 1.5 miles to Ash Street (after the second full traffic light). Turn right onto Ash Street. The Currier will be 1/4 mile on your left.

Museum Parking:  Free on-street parking is available, or at the Kennard House parking lot across from the Currier's North entrance.

Lunch:  The café provides hot and cold entrees, desserts, and is open Sunday, serving lunch from 11:30am to 2:30pm, and now accepts MasterCard and Visa. Attendees will be responsible for their own lunch in the café. 

Cost:  $12 per person includes the tour of Zimmerman House, and museum day pass.  Cost is dependent on a minimum of 7 attendees, and we will have to cancel unless we attract enough participation. Attendees in our group may arrive and visit museum without the private house tour and the cost is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and students, under 18 free.  Attendees will be responsible for their own lunch in the café.
