The Arts Council of Boston is a group of Syracuse University alumni in the Boston area who meet on a regular basis with the goal of engaging alumni in the region through the arts. The council meets to discuss venues, topics, programs (scholarship in action), star alumni (community of experts) to be showcased through alumni events in the region. The council intends to work closely with the Boston Orange club to maximize this outreach effort.
Recent Events:
- Ken Myers Concert Legal Seafood
- Gallery reception, John Thompson gallery.
- Gallery reception, Rosemary Broton Boyle’s gallery.
- Support of Chancellor’s visit along with Boston Orange club - many alumni heard the Arts Council mentioned at this event and evidenced interest in learning more about the group
We are in the process of planning two events for fall ’08 and another two events for spring ’09.
The next Arts Council Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 10th, 2008 from Noon - 1pm.
