Join the GBSUAC Team at the Race for the Cure 5K on Sunday morning, September 23, 2007 or make a donation to support our team for this great cause!

Susan G. Komen for the Cure is leading the global movement to end breast cancer forever. They are the only grassroots organization fighting to cure breast cancer at every stage, from the causes to the cures and the pain and anxiety of every moment in between.

  • You can join my GBSUAC team by running/walking the 5K Race (3.1 scenic miles) yourself-  (The Greater Boston Syracuse University Alumni Club Team- taking place on the morning of Sunday, September 23rd. Follow the link and click “My Team Page” (middle) and join me and my team as a walker/runner.
  • Or...As part of the Race, I've created my own Personal Pledge Page to which you can make a pledge donation Simply follow the link to my pledge page or to the team page to make a donation on-line for any amount that you choose.  Every dollar counts!
  • Or... Out of town? Can't make it on Race day? Just too hard to get out of bed on Sunday morning? No problem! You can still play an important part in the fight against breast cancer. Register for "Sleep In for the Cure" and you'll receive a special sleep mask and Race t-shirt. This is a great way for out-of-town friends and family to join in the Race. You can follow the link and click "My Team Page" to join as part of my team, and select "Sleep in for the Cure" when you register.
  • Or...Unable to attend the Race due to religious obligations? Show your support, declare yourself "Proud in the Pew", and encourage others to join you! You will be sent a special "Proud in the Pew" pin you can wear to services on Race day. You will also receive a Race t-shirt. You can follow the link and click "My Team Page" to join as part of my team, and select "Proud in the Pew" when you register.

  • Did you know?
    - Ten to fifteen percent of breast cancers are not detected by mammography?
    - Men are also at risk for developing breast cancer?
    - Having no children, or a first child after age 30, are among some of the risk factors for breast cancer?
