http://www.bostonorange.org/images/boston-careernight-2007.pdf You will have 2 tracks to choose from as a Career Night participant: (1) The first will include a round table discussion about your profession/industry with alumni who are also involved in the same areas. The goal is to get a discussion started with the alumni at the round table and to start a networking opportunity with them. You will probably need to discuss how you got started with your job, and other details of what you currently do and what other jobs you had. (2) The other option is for the New Graduates Class of 2007. These discussions will be centered around the new graduates and their first job in Boston. Topics will include (but are not limited to) logistics of getting around Boston (the best restaurants, bars, museums, T-stops, places to live, places to park, etc.), resume writing and interviewing skills, salary negotiations, finding a job, etc.
Other important information: There will be a cash bar and heavy appetizers served throughout the evening. We will also have free raffles for chances to win great SU and Boston prizes! |
