The Greater Boston Alumni Club is excited to bring you CUSE THURSDAYS - a time to connect with other Syracuse graduates in a relaxed and fun setting.

We will be gathering on Thursday evenings once a month at McFadden's, Boston.  Details will be posted on the GBSUAC website, announced via email, and also posted on our MySpace and Facebook pages.  We will have the back room reserved, with $3 drink specials and our own bartender.

Chris Sawyer, of Brockton, MA, was a Syracuse Alum from the Class of 2004, who fought a brave battle against Lymphoma before passing away in October of 2006.

He was a great friend to many local Boston residents & alumni, but he was also especially known to SU alum for his years spent living a secret life as a figure loved by all SU alum, Otto the Orange.

or a social party in his honor.

The event last from 7pm to 10pm.

There will be a $20 cover charge at the door, with all proceeds being donated in Chris’s name to cancer research to help find a cure for Lymphoma. (Organization - TBD)

After a very successful recent Board Meeting, we have some great events coming up and even more in the works....

9/6/07 - Join alumni from over 30 schools on the annual Young Alumni Charity Cruise on Thursday, September 6th, aboard the Provincetown II (Bay State Cruise Lines), boarding at the Commonwealth Pier in Boston at 6:30pm, departs at 8pm and returns at 11pm.  For more information and to buy tickets, check out:  http://youngalumcharitycruise.googlepages.com.   

9/20/07 - Join us for the kickoff of 'Cuse Thursdays at McFadden's (148 State Street, at India Street near Faneuil Hall) on Thursday, September 20th from 6-9pm  SU Alumni will have $3 drink specials on domestic beers and well drinks in the back room.  More details coming soon.

11/17/07 - A group of tickets to the SU/UCONN football game in Hartford, CT on Saturday, November 17th will be going on sale soon!  The tickets may be sold as part of a package which will include bus transportation to and from the game in CT.  Stay tuned for more details.

December 2007 - We are looking to purchase group tickets for a Syracuse Night at the Nutcracker this December.  More information will be coming soon. 

January 2008 - A fantastic evening of wine tasting will be scheduled, with informative presentations on each wine by an SU alumni professional wine taster.  More information will be forthcoming.
