March 24th is National Orange Day, the official date Syracuse University was founded...
Now in its 15th year of celebrations, it is an annual celebration that allows SU students, staff and alumni to join together to show their orange spirit and pride by volunteering in a variety of community service events.
The GBSUAC Boston Orange will be collecting canned good donations and volunteering on Saturday, April 26th at the Greater Boston Food Bank from Noon - 4:00pm to separate, sort, inspect and package food, beginning with a pizza party lunch - all in honor of National Orange Day. The Food Bank is located at 99 Atkinson Street, Boston, and is accessible via public transportation.

'CUSE THURSDAYS continue this Winter/Spring - Now at the offical Boston Orange Bar:
The Pour House....
March 6th - April 3rd - and May 1st....
For March 6th we have a Caribbean theme for the evening. The best part about it is we give away an island vacation EVERY THURSDAY. Our downstairs bar is transformed into a tiki hut, complete with bartenders in bikinis!
- 6-8pm free island food buffet
- draft beers in sand pails
- best of regaee, island and dance music
- entertaining promos from Malibu Rum and Dos Equis beer
- innovative contests to win a TRIP TO THE CARIBBEAN GIVEN AWAY EVERY WEEK
- cordoned off area for 'Cuse peeps
- welcome gifts upon arrival
- 1/2 priced Mexican food from 6-10pm
For April 3rd, Caribbean Club has ended, but the fun continues at The Pour House. We could cordone off an area in the downstairs bar for Boston Orange:.
- 1/2 price mexican food from 6-10pm
- 7 42' or larger plasma, HD TV's
- great prices on beer in 22oz. frozen mugs, and 22oz. Mugaritas too!
- free salsa and chips
- I would donate some complimentary Buffalo Wings
For Thursday, May 1st, we start a pre-Cinco de Mayo party, affectionately called MAYDAY! We will cordone off an area of our downstairs bar for the SU peeps.
- 1/2 price mexican food 6-10pm

- great prices on beer in 22oz. frozen mugs and huge 22oz. Muagaritas
- welcome presents!
- free buffalo wings buffet style.

NIT Tourney |

Even though the SU men's basketball team didn't make it to the Big Dance - they are still a #1 seed in the NIT...
And The Pour House will have all of the SU action for however far they make it in the tourney!
First game is Tuesday, 3/18 at 8:00pm
The Pour House is at 907 Boylston St, Boston - Prudential or Hynes Green Line T stop - (www.PourHouseBoston.com)
(we'll be in the back room upstairs with the sound on - since there is trivia downstairs on Tuesdays)
Wear your Orange and cheer with other SU alumni! And if SU wins, join us at The Pour House for the next games too...
Second Round: Thursday, March 20, Friday, March 21, Saturday, March, 22 and Monday, March 24.
Quarterfinal Round: Tuesday, March 25 and Wednesday, March 26.
**Thursday, March 27 may be utilized for a quarterfinal date in case of scheduling and/or availability conflicts**
Madison Square Garden
Semifinals: Tuesday, April 1 7pm & 9pm.
Championship: Thursday, April 3 7pm.

Watch ALL of the nationally televised SU basketball games this winter at the newly designated Boston Orange SU Basketball Bar -

We've got some great SU alumni connections at The Pour House and they have promised to take care of us this upcoming season. We'll kick off the festivities for the first game on Saturday, 1/19 at NOON and then continue even bigger on Monday night, 1/21 when free appetizers will be provided so get there early before they run out! We will have our own downstairs room with the sound on for the weeknight games and there may even be some raffle prizes!
